Classic isn't what you think
Most people never try classic decoration because of three ideas that simply aren't true.
It's fussy and old-fashioned
Done well, classic is calm — a few considered patterns, not a crowded room.
It's only for grand houses
The same rules scale from a terrace living room to a country hall.
I can't mix patterns without it looking wrong
There are three simple rules that make any combination sit together — and you'll learn them here.
Feel the materials in your hands
Five curated real samples — a fabric, a wallpaper, a trimming and more — sent to your door within Australia. A tactile taste of what your interiors could become, chosen to echo the lessons in this library.

Thank you for your fascinating “Visual Selling” workshop. Our entire team enjoyed listening to you and discussing ideas with you. We wish you continued success!
The "Visual Selling" workshop was absolutely amazing and enlightning. This has been my second workshop attendance and it wont be my last!
The Workshop in Vienna was so much fun! It was great to see all the tips and tricks from Lidia. It was really informative and straight to the point.

Lidia Morales is the founder of The Pattern Room and the designer behind moralii.com. Her work is grounded in a lifelong study of traditional interiors — the fabrics, papers and passementerie that give a classic room its quiet authority — and a belief that the principles behind them can be taught, not just admired.
She built The Pattern Room so that design students, decorators and anyone who loves traditional interiors could learn the style at their own pace, then — when a room of their own is ready to be composed — bring her in to help. From her studio in Sydney, Lidia offers bespoke interior design services for clients who want a classic room made with real materials and a practiced eye.
